Good or God

Read this blog post by Bethel Christian Center

Where are you this week? Are things going along per usual? Well, that might be good, but is good good enough? Dan challenges us to move from our conveniences and simply having good things to pursuing all God has for us, namely Himself.

I slept but my heart was awake. Listen! My beloved is knocking: “Open to me, my sister, my darling, my dove, my flawless one. My head is drenched with dew, my hair with the dampness of the night.” I have taken off my robe—must I put it on again? I have washed my feet—must I soil them again? Song of Solomon 5:2-3 NIV

Would you settle for good when you knew the best was available?

God calls to each of us but responding will likely break up your schedule. Moving in His will often times is far from convenient. Will we pursue the Way of God this week, or will we be content with a taste? The Bible is rich with depths of God's love written in the pages, but it often takes some time and effort to read and comprehend. We hope the Word will come alive for you and that your worship will be abounding in rich renewal and grace! Move out of your comfort zone and answer the knock at the door while Christ is still standing there knocking!

Push into His presence in a deeper way this week! You will be surprised by the difference in your experience with God when you connect with a Spirit-filled community to encourage you and spur you on when things get difficult. The Holy Spirit is moving around the world, and we are preparing for a great local move of His Holy Spirit here in Durham before Jesus's soon return.

God's Word is both timeless and powerful today!

We hope that you will consider this week's message in greater depth in the days ahead and meditate on God's Word in the attached pdf outline.
